Second day hunting with rawhide creek outfitters this elk season. Sam and Kody put me smack dab in the middle of a heard of Elk. We had enough time to spot the bull that I wanted and they never knew we were there. The guides worked hard to make sure I had the right bull in my sights. So many elk I had to be careful with my shot. After making sure I was on the correct bull Sam gave me the green light and I harvested a magnificent 5X5 bull. My first bull elk ever. We celebrated and made calls and help came from everywhere to load my bull in the truck. The ranch I hunted today is the same ranch I hunted last year where I archery hunted a trophy antelope and with 2 minutes hunting light remaining, I harvested a cow elk.

I can't say enough about how much I love going to Rawhide Creek! I'm now three for three on archery antelope there and two of them are record book bucks!!! Rick and Amy truly roll out the red carpet. I've seen dozens of game animals on their land every day. Big deer, big elk and big antelope are the norm. The food is also AMAZING! Make sure to do whatever you need to do to get Amy to make chocolate chip cookies while you're there, you will be glad you did! The country north of Gillette Wyoming is beautiful, the antelope and mule deer are plentiful, guides Kody and Eric are terrific and outfitters Rick and Amy Kasper are wonderful hosts. Hunted with Rick and Kody at Rawhide Creek Outfitters mid November for a Cow Elk. My experience was nothing short of stellar. They have been hunting and guiding for decades and it was evident from day one. Spent most of my hunt guided by Kody and he is the real deal...knows the land, the animals and will give you 100%. The lands they hunt are loaded with free range wild game. I saw hundreds of Mule Deer(including several B&C trophies), White Tails and Antelope, as well as many elk. The hard work paid off as i harvested a beautiful cow during my stay. I cannot recommend Rawhide Creek outfitters enough. If you are looking for a tier one guide, check them out and give Rick a call. Been hunting mule deer since 1980. Many hunts have taken me to many places culminated in the last two years at Rawhide Creek. Enough positive things cannot be said about the group of people that are Rawhide Creek. Rick, Amy, Kody, Sam, Preston, Ty are all an excellent example of a winning team. For two years I have told them what I was was looking for and they delivered. Two 180+ inch mule deer bucks in two years. They all did their utmost to make my hunting experience a great one. Great accommodations, great food, great camaraderie. Seemingly endless acres of hunting and, at times, unlimited game everywhere. In my opinion, I have found “hunting nirvana”. In my opinion “it does not get any better than this”.

Simply perfect! Rawhide Creek exceeded my expectations in every way. The camp setting is beautiful and while the accommodations are appropriately rustic, they are comfortable and everything you need is right there.  The entire team at Rawhide goes out of their way to make your stay special. Rick is an outstanding guide and Amy helped me put on a solid five pounds with her cooking. I enjoyed getting to know them as much as any other part of the adventure.

Then there's the hunting itself and it is nothing short of amazing. The number, diversity, and size of wildlife they have at their fingertips is amazing. On my first hunt ever, I was able to take a P&Y class Antelope Buck with a bow, something other hunters had told me would be a steep challenge. They set their clients up for success!  I will be back often learning, relaxing, and fulfilling future hunting goals! Thank you Rawhide Creek!!

I have been hunting what I thought was the mule deer honey hole of the world in the Rockies in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for the past ten years.Boy was I wrong. Rick and Amy Kasper at Rawhide Creek Outfitters in Gillette, Wyoming have the best hunting I have ever seen. 100,000 acres loaded with pronghorn, muleys, whitetail and elk. Very little pressure. Except for one fellow hunter, I never saw another orange hat and we covered a lot of ground. A 10 point whitetail was on my bucket list and Kody Kasper found him for me on the second afternoon.He is a fantastic guide. Thanks, Kody , for helping an old man with a bucket list first. Rick and Amy run a fantastic operation. Amy's cooking is phenomenal and her baked goods put a few extra pounds on this old frame. Can't wait to apply for one of next year's tags, go for one of the monster muleys or maybe an elk and continue the adventure. Thank you all for an exceptional hunt!!!!!

Rick, Amy, and Jake made it a fantastic trip. On my first rifle bull elk hunt I filled my tag on day two. Rick was able to get the Bull to stop a second time so I could get the best shot. A heart shot dropped the elk at 270 yards for a nice quick retrieval. That was the best experience and made it a fantastic hunt. I saw over 300 elk in two days, most out of range, but definitely no lack of game. They did fantastic, giving me the best opportunity and are a fun group to be around l. We definitely want to return and see what we can do for deer next year.

This was our groups first time to Rawhide Creek Ranches. Rick, Amy, Kody, and Eric went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. We've hunted with several other outfitters and have been given the dog and pony show, with little to show for it. Rick delivered on everything he said he would and more. We had nine tags to fill in 4 days of hunting. Four mule deer, One white tail, and four antelope. In 2 1/2 days we were tagged out. My 73 year old dad killed the largest buck of his life. I believe he even said at one point "I haven't seen this much game in one place in over 60 years of hunting combined." No BS when you sit down with Rick and Kody they give it to you straight. The only negative to the whole hunt is if you sleep in the loft you have to go outside to the outhouse to use the outhouse. Lots of laughs and good friends made in camp, can't wait till next year.
